My desk at my office was a decent desk. A corner desk with keyboard drawer. Problem was that it was just about 2 inches too short to be comfortable.
I tend to slouch over when working anyways so this was making it worse. Also i thought I wouldn’t mind working in a standing position for at least part of the day.
After some looking around I came across the SmartDesk. It looked like a solid product although there isn’t much information out there.
I decided to take the plunge and order one. I ordered a black base and the six foot top without the round cutout.
It comes in 2 separate boxes one for the top and one for the base all well packed. It does take quite a bit of work to put it together but pretty easy.
After putting it together It was up and running and i was able to change my desk height at the push of a button.
UPDATE:
Sadly after a few days my display showed an error message H-OI which I think means HOT and nothing i would do would make it work again.
I contacted autonomous and they responded and said they would be sending out a replacement as soon as they had stock again (2 weeks)
Will update once i get the replacement.
NEXT UPDATE:
autonomous did send a full replacement. looks like the computer board was somehow unhappy. The new one seems to work fine
Also they dropped the price dramatically. At the current price this is IMO a know brainer. Costs the same now as a regular desk.
